How To: Magazine Inspiration

I just love reading magazines. They have a lot of great ideas and things to inspire you. But how do you look for those ideas? Well here are some tips!

1.       Recipes  are a great thing to start with. You can try some of them out, see what you like and you can change them to your likings. Easy peasy.

2.       DIY’s. Some magazines already have DIY projects in them. It can’t be easier than this, can it?

3.       Outfit and makeup inspiration. Look at the trends and see what you can do with them. Colorblocking is hot this season? Maybe some colorblock nails of maybe use some paint on that old purse you have lying around to make it a colorblock purse.

4.       Look at the accessories and think if you could DIY it. Glitter is often easy to apply and print screening isn’t very hard either.

5.       and of course home inspiration. there are a lot of home decoration DIY’s to find in magazines. Spray-painted vases, DIY table centerpiece, a nice DIY throw for the couch, etc.

I could sum up thousands of DIY project ideas you can find in magazines but it would take very long. So in the meanwhile just look at the things in magazines you like and see if you can DIY it!

Fun fact: The oldest consumer magazine still in print is The Scots Magazine, which was first published in 1739
